Consults occur in your own home where you have the opportunity to share your story. I am here to help you with this transition into new motherhood. A consult lasts around 1 - 1.5 hours and is tailored to your needs and those of your infant.
A consult typically includes:
Health history for you and your infant
Discuss your goals for feeding your baby
Make a plan together to reach your goals
Physical exam of you and your baby
Support with latching your baby comfortably
Observe a full breastfeeding
Weighted feeding
Oral exam and functional assessment for your baby
Help with using your pump
Written individualized care plan
Referral to other healthcare providers if needed
